From the Head of School
Welcome to the APAC Tennis Tournament
Dear APAC Tennis Players,
Welcome to Seoul Foreign School! It is our privilege to host the 2012 APAC Tennis Tournament. We are happy to provide our facilities for a successful and exciting experience.
In 1912, seven mission boards came together to establish the Seoul Foreign School, serving 18 students. Over the years, our school has grown and developed into a leading international school, offering a rigorous academic curriculum, embracing the IB program in 1980.
Just last year we celebrated the 100th anniversary of the founding of the school. We welcomed alumni and friends of our school from almost every era and from many countries throughout the world. The Centennial culminated with a Gala Celebration, during which over 600 supporters, alumni and friends of our school gathered to mark this important milestone.
About two years ago, the School revised its mission statement to read, “Seoul Foreign School, centered in Christ, inspires educational excellence and promotes Christian values, personal integrity, and responsible global citizenship through a dynamic international experience.” Currently, we serve 1475 students from 48 nations. Our graduates enroll in Universities and Colleges throughout the world.
I wish you well as you compete. It is your privilege to participate with athletes from around the world and to form relationships with many new friends. I hope you will enjoy your playing experience and your time at Seoul Foreign School.
